Art Attack - a night of poetry in Croatia

Festival of activits' poetry in Zagreb, Croatia.Art Attack, a festival of activist poetry was held from March 12-March 14 in Zagreb. The festival, held this year for the first time, was organized by the English Students’ Club in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb in Croatia.

On the last day of the Festival, Amnesty International Croatia organized a video projection of short movies and video clips on human rights violations committed in the name of security.


They also organized reading of poems from the book Poems from Guantánamo, the Detainees Speak written by Guantánamo detainees and read at the event by Art Attack authors.

Amnesty International Croatia presented its work to a group of 40, spoke about the Counter Terror with Justice campaign, and set up a booth for signing postcards targeting President Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office. The whole event was broadcasted live by Radio Student from Zagreb.
