Getting ready for Baltic Pride

Getting ready for #balticpride on TwitpicIt’s been a busy few days for Baltic Pride. It was happening, then it was banned on Thursday and in court on Friday morning when it was back on track.

A roomful of Amnesty International from across Europe, from the Faroe Islands to Turkey, have gathered in Riga to support Baltic Pride.

Right now, we’re getting to know each other, discussing the safety issues and plans for the day and individual delegates will soon collect their t-shirt from the rainbow coloured selection.

There’s a mood of excited anticipation in the room, perhaps mixed with some uncertainty.

Given the vocal opposition to previous marches and the failed attempt to ban the march, there is reason to be careful.

The Pride gave me a lot of emotions, perhaps the most beautiful I have ever tried!
I am a lesbian girl and I know what it means to hide themselves, but never imagined how far it could go.
I admired a lot of kids Mozzaika and I hope that Amnesty will continue to support them.
I will continue to be freedom and supporting AI so every year we abbate a new wall.
    sorry for my English
