Demonstration Friday 18 November, 2011, in Cairo, Egypt. March through the city to Tahrir square
Tens of thousands of Egyptians held a rally in Cairo to protest against Egypt’s military rulers. Demonstrators from across the political spectrum gathered in Tahrir Square after the military council proposed controversial constitutional changes.
In Tahrir Square – the symbolic heart of the uprising that toppled President Mubarak – people waved banners reading: “Down with military rule” and “Egypt our country is not a military camp”.
