    I believe the Haitian government has already accelerated the pace of construction of new housing and highly doubt they could do more until they receive the other 52% of donations promised by the International community after the crippling earthquake, and STILL not given to Haiti. The new government (Martelly) has surely made more of an effort than his predecessor (Preval). In a country that doesn’t have much, it will take time. That was the real tragedy of this earthquake, it couldn’t have happened to a country that is more financially vulnerable than Haiti. I said it then, and I’ll say it now; it will be a 5 year reconstruction project.
